The job file
Finished work from Mera's own crew, from the siding to the tile.
This is the file on the jobs Christian Mera and his crew have finished for homes and businesses across NJ and the tri-state area. Every photograph here is our own work. We left customer names and town labels off the pictures, because the house belongs to its owner and the paint on the wall is what you came to see.
The file runs from the outside in: exteriors first, then porches and decks, kitchens and cabinets, wallpaper, trim and ceilings, tile, and commercial rooms. Prep comes last, because plastic sheeting and masking tape are most of what makes a finish look clean, and after more than 20 years that is the part customers see least and notice most.

Exteriors
Siding, shingle, stucco, trim and brick, painted from the first scrape to the last coat. Several of these were photographed mid-job, with ladders up and windows taped, because the masking is where an exterior is won. Planning one? Read how an exterior job runs.

Paint never adheres perfectly to a dirty surface. We encourage customers to power wash the house and have the gutters cleaned before we start, and our crew can handle both. On older homes the prep is lead-safe: HEPA vacuums, then wet wiping and wet mopping with plenty of rinse water.

Kitchens & cabinets
Refinishing and reglazing keep the cabinets you already have. Gray with white counters, white built-ins set into a brick arch, a clean white run along a kitchen wall. Cabinet refinishing and reglazing.

Same cabinets. New life.
Wallpaper
Paper hung with the seams matched and the white trim and chair rail left sharp. We install and remove wallpaper, and we build custom walls and decals too. More on wallpaper and custom walls.

Trim, ceilings & interiors
Entries, halls, coffered and tray ceilings, built-ins, stair rails and a finished basement. Trim and ceilings are slow work: the crown, the medallion and the cut line at the ceiling show in every photo that matters. Carpentry and molding repairs sit with our home improvement work.

Tile
New tile in three forms: a gray plank-look floor, a bath surround, and a dark shower with a mosaic band. Tile work belongs to the carpentry and home improvement side of the crew, alongside kitchens, bathrooms and basements.

Floor, surround, shower.
Commercial
A training room with fresh two-tone walls. Commercial work covers offices, schools and retail, warehouses with epoxy paint systems, parking garages, venues, religious buildings and apartment buildings. Call the commercial line at 973-232-5663, or read about commercial painting.

Offices, schools, warehouses and venues.
Prep
Plastic sheeting, masking, drop cloths and a painter working down a corridor. These frames show the work you do not see at the end, and it is why the finished rooms above look clean. Lead-safe practice is part of it: we prepare the space before the work starts and follow a specific cleaning protocol after.
