Business and commercial painting, from the front office to the warehouse floor

Mera Painting specializes in business and commercial painting for offices, schools, retail, venues, apartment buildings, parking garages and warehouses with epoxy systems.

Why commercial paint jobs fail early

A commercial building is never empty in the way a house can be. Tenants are in their offices, students are in the corridors, customers are walking past the register, and a paint crew that ignores that ends up with wet-paint complaints, blocked entrances and a schedule nobody planned. Most commercial paint trouble is a coordination problem before it is a paint problem, which is why the first conversation on any job is about who is in the building and when, not about color.

The second cause is the surface. Warehouse and factory floors take epoxy paint systems, and an epoxy floor lives or dies on its prep. Oil, grease, old sealer and moisture in the slab all keep a coating from bonding, and a floor that looks fine the day it is finished can lift in sheets under the first forklift. Parking garages and other concrete and stucco surfaces fail the same way when cracks, dirt and chalking are painted over instead of dealt with.

Mera Painting and Home Design is licensed, bonded and insured, and the commercial side is a standing part of the business, not an afterthought to residential work. We specialize in business and commercial painting, and the crews that handle a living room on Monday know how to mask a training room on Tuesday.

What the crews paint, building by building

The commercial list is broad: interior and exterior painting, parking garages, warehouses and epoxy paint systems, stucco and concrete, schools and retail spaces, venues and religious buildings, apartment and condominium buildings, and office buildings and offices. Wallpaper installation and removal, carpentry and hardwood floors are on the same list, so a lobby that needs a new wall covering, a repaired door frame and a refreshed floor can have one crew from start to finish.

The photo galleries show the range. The crews have painted banquet halls, office buildings, fire squad buildings, factories, comfort care facilities and fitness facilities, and each of those asks something different of the work. A banquet hall wants clean cut lines under bright light. A care facility wants low odor and quiet, careful work around residents. A fitness facility wants finishes that take scuffs and wipe down. An office wants walls that look fresh at nine on Monday morning.

Interior walls and ceilings, exterior siding and trim, masonry and stucco, and floor coatings all use different prep and different products, so a good estimate walks every surface rather than quoting the building as one number. That walk-through also tells us what to leave alone, which matters in a school or a store where fixtures, signage and display walls have to come through the job untouched. Older buildings may also carry lead paint, and the same EPA lead-safe practices we use in homes apply here, with HEPA vacuums for dust and debris and wet cleanup afterward.

Scheduling and who to call

Commercial work runs on coordination, and the commercial line is 973-232-5663. Call it when you need an estimate for a building, when a lease turnover has a deadline, or when you want to understand how the work can fit around the people who use the space. Ask about scheduling around your hours; the right plan depends on the building, and we would rather build it with you than promise a one-size answer.

Every estimate is free, and the approach from first walk-through to final walk-through is meant to be simple. You get a clear scope of what is being prepped, what is being coated and what is left alone, and the work is checked against that scope when the crew finishes. Tell us about anything sensitive up front, such as a sealed server room, a food area or an occupied unit, and it goes into the plan before the first drop cloth is laid. If something needs to be touched up, we handle it, because every job carries a warranty and we are committed to your full satisfaction.

The same crew also works in homes, from interior and exterior house painting to wallpaper and cabinet refinishing, so a manager with a building and a house to look after can make one call. Payment is simple: we accept cash, checks and money orders, and all major credit cards.

What a working building looks like mid-job.

Masking goes up before any paint is opened, drop cloths cover floors and furniture, and you can ask how corridors and entrances will be handled. For a house with the same care, see interior and exterior painting, browse finished spaces in the gallery, or call the commercial line at 973-232-5663.
